Well, today I subbed for the art teacher who teaches both high school and middle art to a variety of students. Aside from the rowdy boys, it is a good paying gig. My 7th period middle school students are the "rowdy" class according to my outline, and they ended up telling me that everyday they are supposed to have 5 minutes of quiet time. However today, they were supposed to have 7 minutes because they were bad the day before. They also told me that if someone talks during quiet time, they get detention. What great kids. Anyway, tomorrow they told me they want 5, no 10, no 20 minutes of quiet time, and I told them, good because 20 is my favorite number. For being a really loud/active class, they sure like their quiet time.
My day went by fast and I feel like I have a lot more time to my day. Probably because I got off work at 1500 instead of 1830 in Surprise, and also I woke up at 0630 instead of 0500 for Surprise, and also because I didn't have to lift anybody or wipe any asses. Fantastic. Don't get me wrong, I like my job in Surprise. But this is a refreshing break. The difficult part will come when I have to make the lesson plans myself for four science classes (2 x Chemistry, 2 x Earth Science).
On another note I just found out that Picnic Day '10 is on April 17th, making it oh-so-perfect timing for the concert I want to see on the 19th. Booya world, thank you universe and have a good night. I will be going to bed early as I have another day of art ahead of me.
HAHHAHAHA Wow! Who would have thought that you would be teaching?! That's pretty crazy but I'm sure you're doing a great job! If it were me I would just let them do what they want. HAHAHA! Oh my passive piscesness! <3
