In class, I had my Earth Science students do a worksheet on a brochure called "Modoc Rocks!" Basically it was about all the geological hot spots in Modoc county, and since I will be here a little bit long and the weather was seemingly nice, I thought I would take a couple friends on the tour. Here is what happened. (Baby Kangaroo and Koala, both thought we would get stuck. Well, guess what, girls don't get stuck, because we aren't stupid!)
We stopped at a cemetery in Davis Creek, and I thought this tombstone was super cool with these flowers. That stop didn't last very long as it was balls cold out.
On the way to our first and second stop, we drove a long a dirt road, which turned to a muddy road, which then turned into a few feet of snow. Never having got to our first two spots (spots 2 and 3 because we actually skipped going to spot 1 - it was a resource office or something), we got out of the Jeep for a little nature time anyway. The Warner Mountains have a lot to offer.
Ash taking a picture of me taking her picture!
The view coming down the mountain was pretty sick as well.
On the way to spot 4 we saw a derailed train, that has been there for several years, but apparently it has been a long time since I have been on that highway and I thought it was the coolest thing since railed trains.
Spot 4 was Chimney rock, this picture is of the surrounding rocks.
At one time a cabin was built in to this rock, and it has all the names of the people who were traveling through at the time it was made.
Ash likes to climb.
This is a pretty sick pic, I think at least.
Sorry for the finger....but you get the point.
This was a really beautiful day!
I can't believe I was the only one without holes in my jeans. THAT never happens! I just noticed that everyone has the big hole on the left knee...that is totally the same in all my holey jeans! Weird.
I also forgot to wear my boots. I suck at this trip.
We found a bridge.
I just find this hilarious! Hahahaha, good one.
Then what happened to us, was a series of unfortunate events, like we ran into more snow and weren't able to get to like 7/10 places on the tour. Although, we didn't get to see the sites on the tour, we still saw a lot of cool things. Also, we made it out without injury and WE DIDN'T GET STUCK! Yay, us. But I guess it was a nice car ride, good thing my mom had tissue in the Jeep, because we had to pee in the woods several times. At least I got an ice cream!
When we got home Ash got a tattoo!!!!
I feel like if we go on this tour again when there is no snow and the roads are accessible, I will write more about how each spot was formed and crap like that so I feel like a real teacher. For being a teacher, I mostly just feel like I am the one that is learning. Perhaps if you view yourself as student of life, you will always have something to gain, and the more you experience the more you can teach.

One of the easiest ways I've made money
(excluding that one time on the corner...)
The last two days I have been substitute teaching for elementary level kids in 01: music and today 02: computers. Let me tell you something about kids, they say some pretty awesome and some pretty random things. I'm glad to never have to deal with them on a 24/7 basis, but it was fun watching them play/sing to "Grizzly Bear," and "Old Gray Cat." Crazy kids.
Only imagine this: a small room with 20 kids and you in it, you have never heard this song before, and the kids are singing along with a cd player. You forget to pay attention once the song starts, and the kids get really, really quite (because they love this song), then BAM! The grizzly wakes up, and the kids laugh at you because you jumped in fright! Good times.
Only in our rendition, the kids crawled around the room girls the cat, and boys the mice, and then chased each other. a fun musical game of tag. :)
So this one kid and I had an interesting discussion:
Yesterday in Music
Kid: "You like black a lot, don't you?"
Me: "Yeah, I guess I do." (looks down at what I'm wearing) "Only my pants are black."
Kid: "But your shirt has black in it, and so do your shoes. And that yellow just really sticks out."
Me: "Hmmm....ok, anyway..."
Today in Computers
Kid: "You again!"
Me: "Yep, still here."
Kid: "You REALLY DO like black!"
Me: "It is my favorite color."
Kid: "Does anyone call you Goth? Black pants, black shirt, black fingernails, black on your wrist, black heart on your shoe..."
Me: "No."
Other kid: "Goth."
Weird kids I tell you.
01: My shirt was maroon the first day, my pants were dark purple the second day, my shoes were purple, one day I had rainbow shoe laces, AANNND I like to wear black.
02: I so do not look Gothic.
03: That was a really hilarious experience.

March 2nd
Today is the Vets' birthday. Happy birthday. Cheers, I wish I could be there and also can't wait to see you guys!!!
JP: my friends are always saying, "I want to meet this man, you always talk about this John Pham guy."
To which I reply, sadly, "Man? That sounds so weird, I mean everyone I know are boys and girls. To be a man you have to be (clenches fist toward chin and shows teeth), we aren't ladies, I mean we still have snacks, naps, and I make them all play with toys!"
Wah, I'm just a baby. The big Two-Five makes me feel like maybe it is time to grow up, but honestly I can't foresee that happening. I mean I just love toys way too much!
P.s. I have been called lady like ten times in the last two weeks by freakin' 80 year olds, and if I get called lady one more time I think I will snap. Seriously?! You are like a million years old and I am 24 why are you calling me lady? You crazy old psycho.

Follow Me People
It's not that hard. Thank you to the three that do. But seriously, how do I know what to write about unless I know who is reading this? I know most of you already have a Google account too. So guess what, BOOYA - DO IT!

When I Sleep...
So there are a lot of reasons why I like to drink. Two or the most recent ones came to me last night while I was sober.
01: I cannot fall asleep. I just ly in bed for like an hour, which is really annoying and makes me tired in the morning.
02: I don't sleep soundly. I wake up a lot, which I guess I do that anyway, but waking up drunk because you have to pee is somehow less irritating than waking up for no reason sober.
and
03: When I sleep soberly, I have really bad dreams. Then I ly awake scared of whatever it was I was dreaming about.
For instance, last night I had just falling asleep and I started having a bad dream. I was trying to wake up because I didn't want to dream about it. My body was twitching so much, it scared Kitten and when he moved to get off the bed is when I woke up. I blame last nights dream on the discussion of scary movies and dolls, and how I hate them, and playing with the dogs, and actually maybe also watching some previews for some upcoming movies; sober minds are mean minds.
I remember last week, I didn't drink because I didn't feel so hot, for reasons I cannot disclose, and I woke up in the middle of the night crying. Like actual tears were coming out of my eyes. I cannot remember why anymore, but wtf?
Perhaps I should leave one of the four composition books by my bed at night and write down the dreams that I have and send them off for analyzing. My brain has issues.

CNA Test
Well, I apparently can't "fake it to make it." I am thinking that I failed that piece of shit test, well at least the skills portion. Which is stupid because I couldn't get this guys blood pressure and possibly ended up making up a number. It is not cool because I can totally take blood pressure. I just did it perfectly yesterday. WTF universe. WTF?
We will find out in a couple days if we passed or not. Until then here are some pics of the night before.
Zeee!

We're fucked.
So we are playing Crash 3 tonight and trying to beat some fucking levels and its hard as shitting hell. So we finally make it almost to the end when Ashlea dies and I am about to take the controller and we have a static reaction and shock the hell out of the controller and now it won't work. We have three controllers and a memory card and nothing will work. Ashlea is shocked that we shocked it to not work. And frankly so am I. WTF. Obviously the universe doesn't want us to play crash. Well guess what universe, fuck you too. Fuck you. And we aren't even watching Monday Night football. At least both the Dolphins and the Giants won yesterday Booya! Pats and Cowboys can suck it. Thats at least one good thing to come of this.
This is the face of disappointment.
